Thai Massage combines 5 Important Layers of Historical Infulence

Thai massage is believed to have been developed by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, physician to Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago in India It made its way to Thailand, where the Ayurvedic techniques and principles gradually became influenced by traditional Chinese medicine. I am blessed to have learned this art for I feel it is in alignment with my path.

Wearing Clothing during this massage allows for assisted stretching and free flowing Thai techniques

The recipient of the massage wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. The receiver will be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, that is also combined with deep static and rhythmic pressures. The practitioner works intuitively with an intention to clear stagnant energies out through the varies Thai techniques of stretching, rhythmic rocking, tapping, and acupressure.

Why try Thai Massage

The massage generally follows designated lines (“sen”) in the body. I am clearing out stagnant energy in your body. If you think of these lines as a water hose and your daily experiences and activities put kinks into your hose (or energy lines) So during the massage I untangle the hose and open up your lines so fresh water (new energy) can flow in. A full Thai massage session typically lasts two hours or more, and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body. This may include pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking knuckles, walking on the recipient’s back, and moving the recipient’s body into many different positions. There is a standard procedure and rhythm to the massage, which the giver will adjust to fit the receiver. If you are a Athlete I tend to use stronger pressure and if you are just looking to relax we gently clear the lines. Any one can benefit from a good Thai Massage.

You will feel relaxed and yet energized with every Session

You will come in and well have a brief chat about what your goals are for the visit. You should be wearing comfy clothes and you will lay down on my matt. I usually play relaxing music of your liking. There is no oil or lotion applied to the body and  rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched. I use my intuition as my guide to connect with source energy and I begin by mentally cleansing myself so I have a pure state of mind before I work into your energy. I then start the massage from your feet and work to your head and I work with healing love flowing through me all the way to the end of the massage. After we clear out all your energy lines physically we do a small visualization together by collecting all your stress, worries and muscle tension and expel them
out of your physical body. Then I do a small meditation by your head to so you are then replenished with all the blessings and love that source allows to flow through me into you. The Thai people refer to this as metta. You should feel relaxed and yet energized after the this. I usually offer you more water and we talk about your blockages and your pain points and we figure out if you need a monthly plan or a weekly plan depending on the severity of the blockages that I found.  We can usually clear up major issues within a month if the plan is followed.
